Tiba funds three outpatient clinics and a newly opened hospital
The clinics save tens of thousands of lives each year. The newly opened hospital in Ukwala, the Women and Children Hospital, is making an immediate impact in a terribly neglected region: fewer women will lose their lives in childbirth and fewer children will die needlessly in infancy.
The fact is...having a hospital around the corner with blood supply is key to saving peoples lives. And to have a place where you treat and monitor patients with severe infections rather than sending them home is groundbreaking in this part of rural Kenya.
