Tiba Foundation is a grant-making organization with a rigorous practice called Philanthropic Investment Management
The traditional non-profit grant consists of a long, arduous application process, not dissimilar to filing a complex tax return. This is usually followed by an annual audit or paperwork-based review.
Philanthropic Investment Management flips this process. Our applications, by invitation only, are both precise and concise. They more resemble start-up business plans than traditional grant applications. We emphasize metrics (measurable outcomes) and evidence. Tiba's due diligence process is in-person and extremely in-depth. Once an application is approved, the real work begins. Projects are assessed quarterly--in fact, Tiba managers personally visit every single project once per quarter.
